The Foundation's program, Urban Health Initiative: Working to Ensure the Health and Safety of Children, was designed to improve the health and safety of young people in urban areas by improving collaboration among youth-serving agencies and organizations. This project is being transferred from the University of Washington, Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs, to a new 501(c)(3) institution, Institute for Community Change. For the next three months, Institute for Community Change will continue to provide technical assistance to the sites; much of its effort will be to disseminate lessons learned through written products, presentations, and meetings. The National Program Office will also monitor and verify data to measure progress on process and outcome goals.
