Evaluating the effects of inner-city school playground redevelopment on physical activity levels in children

The Foundation's Active Living Research program was designed to support investigator-initiated research to identify and assess structural, environmental, and policy changes with the potential to increase population levels of physical activity.The purpose of this project is to assess how the redevelopment of inner-city school playgrounds into Learning Landscapes influences children's physical activity levels and how neighborhood social processes may mediate the impact of these environmental interventions.
