The Foundation's Active Living Research program was designed to support investigator-initiated research to identify and assess structural, environmental, and policy changes with the potential to increase population levels of physical activity.The purpose of this project is to investigate the influence of community environment on physical activity and weight status through a detailed focus on neighborhood disorder and crime in the city of Philadelphia. This project uses a cross-sectional design to study the relationship between objective measures of neighborhood characteristics and individual-level health outcomes.
