Using technology as a tool to connect people to vital information and services

This grant supports a test of the feasibility and viability of an Internet-based electronic personal health record focused on a low-income population. The purpose of the project is to research strategic alliances, define a structure, release a limited pilot, and determine the feasibility of a broad-based implementation. One Economy has an Internet site, The Beehive, which may partner with an already-established, Web-based personal health record to give users access to this application. The project will be considered successful if it results in the working poor connecting to vital information and services through the use of an Internet site.
