Technical assistance and direction for Urgent Matters

The Foundation's Urgent Matters program was designed to improve the availability and timeliness of care in hospital emergency departments and the use of these departments as a window into the safety net to raise public understanding of the interaction between safety net functions and workings of the health care delivery system as a whole. This grant provides technical assistance and direction to: (1) design and implement a strategic communications plan to disseminate the learnings of Phase I--both safety net assessment and emergency department flow techniques; and (2) retool emergency department flow program products into a marketable learning network and tool kit.
