An important component of improving the quality of treatment for substance use disorders is to promote the adoption of evidence-based practices at the provider and organizational levels. A necessary first step is to understand what constrains organizations from using evidence-based practices and what opportunities exist for funders to help them do this. The purpose of this project is for the Foundation's Addiction Prevention and Treatment Team to convene experts within and outside of the addiction field to discuss the treatment system and opportunities for improving quality of care. This project will yield recommendations to help the Team develop future quality improvement initiatives.
