Active living awareness campaign through planned community activities

The Foundation's program, Active Living by Design, was designed to establish and evaluate innovative approaches that support active living.The primary focus for this project is on communications, public education, and marketing of active living. This grant provides support for the development of a logo, mascot, and media campaign; Web site; and a billion-step challenge pedometer campaign. Additionally, two task forces will be convened: one to advocate for policy/design and environment and one for physical activity. The policy/design task force will create a specific work plan and subsequently advocate for policy/environmental changes with decision makers.
