Understanding physician cultural competence and the impact of race/ethnicity on patient perception of physicians
The Foundation's Generalist Physician Faculty Scholars Program was designed to strengthen the presence of generalist physician faculty in the nation's medical schools through career development awards to outstanding junior faculty in medical school departments/divisions of family medicine, general internal medicine and general pediatrics.This grant supports research focusing on the influence of race and ethnicity in the patient-physician relationship and its relation to racial disparities in the quality of health care.
