The Foundation's program, Active for Life: Increasing Physical Activity Levels in Adults Age 50 and Older, was designed to encourage adults 50+ to increase activity levels by replicating proven programs in real-world settings and identifying and testing communication strategies for the promotion of physical activity.The Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio will lead a consortium, including the Hamilton County General Health District and The Health Alliance. The purpose of this project is to test the effectiveness of implementing the Active Living Everyday group model program to increase the level of physical activity among sedentary adults in the southwest Ohio area. Populations targeted will be five counties in the Southwest Ohio area--Hamilton, Butler, Clermont, Warren, and Clinton.
