Integrating adolescent substance abuse services and translating evidence into practice

The purpose of this project is to identify the barriers to technology transfer existing within child welfare agencies; develop a consensus report on the most promising community-based practices for integrating services and improving substance abuse treatment through translation; and develop a model project for testing in the child welfare network. The project will be considered successful if several promising practice strategies are identified and a model for incorporating them into real world child welfare, juvenile justice, and substance abuse treatment programs is developed.
