Technical assistance and direction for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program

The Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program was designed to augment clinical training by providing new skills and perspectives necessary to achieving leadership positions both within and outside the walls of academia in the 21st century. In mid-2003, the current Clinical Scholars National Program Office located in Little Rock, Arkansas, will be closing and the National Advisory Committee has chosen Stanford University as the site for the new National Program Office. The purpose of this project is to provide a smooth transition between program offices and directors. These funds will provide support for the director and her staff as they establish their national program headquarters, attend program site visits, annual meetings, work plan meetings, and begin the process of planning the faculty development component of the program. These funds will also provide support for preparations to assume responsibility for the Clinical Scholars Program as the application and selection process gears up for 2003.
