Injury Free Coalition for Kids: Dissemination of a Model Injury Prevention Program for Children and Adolescents
The Foundation's program, Injury Free Coalition for Kids: Dissemination of a Model Injury Prevention Program for Children and Adolescents, was designed to reduce and prevent injuries to children through a hospital-based, research-driven model, implemented in partnership with coalitions of community stakeholders.This grant will continue the efforts of Harborview Medical Center to: (1) proactively analyze local child injury data; (2) identify specific injury mechanisms or neighborhoods with an unusually severe injury burden; (3) foster the creation of local coalitions to address these problems; and (4) guarantee an objective, data-driven evaluation of any programs supported by the coalition.
