More than 1 million children in the United States have an incarcerated parent. This loss of a parent to incarceration means an immediate crisis for that child and these children are six times more likely to go to prison themselves. Social services and health care agencies are dealing with these children daily, but in many cases lack the understanding of how to help them. The purpose of this project is to create a Children of Prisoners Internet-based Library for professionals. The project will be successful if substantial numbers of users are tracked.
