The Foundation's program, Health e-Technologies: Assessing New Tools for Chronic Disease Management and Health Behavior Change, was designed to catalyze the development of more efficacious interactive health programs on health behavior change and disease management by evaluating promising interventions and providing information resources and tools for professionals.This grant provides technical assistance and direction support for the the Foundation's Health-E Technologies program. The National Program Office (NPO), in conjunction with Foundation staff and the program's National Advisory Committee, will: (1) fund descriptive studies and program evaluation; (2) develop a resource center for tools and materials that help translate research into practice; and (3) assess the impact of the program on the field of chronic disease management and health behavior change. The NPO will also provide direct technical assistance to applicants to be funded under the initiative.
