Researchers in the field of youth tobacco cessation are often not well informed on the policies of academic institutional review boards. This hinders the development and investigation of youth tobacco dependence treatments. This grant provides support for the planning and implementation of an expert meeting on consent issues pertinent to youth tobacco dependence treatment. Specifically, the project deliverables will include development of the meeting agenda; development and dissemination of white papers; development and dissemination of a summary report; and next steps. This project will be considered successful if it results in a well constructed meeting and recommendations for next steps.
