Providing asthma screening, education, and treatment in a border region
This grant provides support for: (1) expansion of a mobile health clinic's services to include an asthma screening, education, and treatment component; and (2) evaluation of the increase in access to care for children with asthma. The services will be provided in a medically underserved border community in southern California where there is a high rate of uninsurance. The project will be considered successful if this intervention program identifies and treats 600 children who require asthma treatment.
