The purpose of this project is to catalog the most strategic tools being used in community-based physical activity communication and marketing campaigns and develop a marketing/communication tool kit that can be used by community organizing groups to promote physical activity and activity-friendly environments. Specific deliverables from this project include: (1) a summary report detailing the most promising communication/marketing strategies in the promotion of active communities; (2) a draft version of a marketing/communication toolkit; and (3) a suggested design, layout and printing estimates for the production of the tool kit. This project will be considered successful if it results in the development of a comprehensive communication/marketing tool kit as field-tested with the Foundation's current and future grantees.
