Promoting long-term care policy development and debate

Long-term care is a neglected area of public policy, despite its importance to people with impairments, their families, and public programs. The purpose of this project is to create renewed interest in this issue by establishing a broader understanding of the problem, developing a range of potential policy solutions, and analyzing the costs of these proposals. In addition, this project will develop a research network on long-term care comprised of a broad-based advisory committee, university-based researchers, policy analysts, and policy makers.
