Administering spit tobacco questionnaires during spring training
This grant provides supplementary support to an earlier Foundation grant for the Oregon Pacific Research Institute's annual survey of spit tobacco use among Major and Minor League Baseball players and athletic trainers during spring training. These supplementary funds will cover additional expenses for the administrative and logistic support provided by the head athletic trainers for each of the 30 teams surveyed. The funds will be used to ensure high-level participation in these important surveys and to partially compensate head athletic trainers and other trainers for their efforts to administer the survey and collect, collate, and return completed survey questionnaires.
