This grant to the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University (CASA) will provide core support to offset annual operating expenses that are not otherwise covered through direct project dollars and their related indirect costs. By offsetting unfunded operating costs, this grant will allow CASA the time necessary to complete its development campaign, the goal of which is to accumulate a stable reserve of financial resources whose investment value will be sufficient to cover CASA's annual unfunded operating costs.Core support is used to sustain senior staff between projects, and for articles, publications, project development, communications, and media products and activities not covered by project line items. Key deliverables under the project will include, but not be limited to, publications, tools for practitioners, presentations, media coverage, and conferences.
