The Foundation's Medicaid Managed Care Program was designed to improve the quality of and access to Medicaid managed care by working with states, health plans, and consumer groups.This program is focused on demonstration projects and policy studies to help states, managed care organizations, providers, and consumers take advantage of the unique opportunities presented by managed care to meet the need of Medicaid recipients, especially those with chronic health conditions. Medicaid is the largest and most important source of coverage for low-income vulnerable Americans. This grant supports an expanded set of special technical assistance and training opportunities and a focused set of grant-making strategies, policy studies, and model development.
