A project to review Medicaid nursing home reimbursement policy and the impact on palliative care

The purpose of this project is to review each state's Medicaid program and document the services that are reimbursed in nursing homes. It will examine the impact of reimbursement policies on the provision of palliative care in the nursing home setting. The project will begin to fill a gap in the policy literature on Medicaid-financed, long-term care and palliative care.
