This grant provides continued support for the National Center for Tobacco-Free Kids, which was established in 1996 through major funding by the Foundation and The American Cancer Society. The mission of the Center is to reduce youth tobacco use and youth exposure to environmental tobacco smoke. The Center's three goals are to: (1) change social and environmental norms to reduce tobacco use and exposure among kids; (2) develop and achieve public policies that support eliminating tobacco use and exposure among kids; and (3) strengthen and mobilize the base of support working for tobacco control.
