The Foundation's program, State Coverage Initiatives, was designed to help states develop and implement policies that expand access to health insurance coverage. The primary objectives of this project are: (1) staff support for the State's interagency workgroup; (2) technical support for the New Hampshire Purchasers Roundtable; and (3) analysis of data collected in state-funded surveys. New Hampshire will: (1) retain a facilitator to play a key role in monthly on-site meetings of the State's interagency workgroup; (2) contribute to the development of written products throughout the project; and (3) coordinate a technical assistance group of state-funded consultants to advise on health policy initiatives. New Hampshire also will use technical support to assist both public and private purchaser's development and assessment of public-private initiatives for expanding employer-based coverage. In addition, the State will retain a consultant to provide a detailed analysis of employer and household surveys to develop and target further state insurance coverage expansions where they would have the greatest impact.
