Technical assistance and direction for the State Forums Partnership Program

The Foundation's State Forums Partnership Program was designed to establish a technical assistance center to support the adoption of the New Jersey Policy Forums on Health and Medical Care project in up to eight states.This grant will establish a technical assistance center to support state replication of the New Jersey Policy Forums project. The program will support private entities as conveners of key state policy decision-makers. Current topics in health care policy and the implications and options for state policy will be presented and discussed at the forums. The goals are to provide better informed policymakers, objective analyses and data, open dialogue, and interaction between the executive and legislative branches. Specific objectives under the grant include: (1) proposal solicitation, review and selection; (2) identification of local funders; (3) development of technical assistance products such as a guidebooks, newsletter, Web site; and (4) convening technical assistance meetings and dissemination of information.
