The Foundation's program, Promoting Excellence in End-of-Life Care, was designed to foster long-term changes in health care institutions to substantially improve care for dying persons and their families.This grant provides support for a conference to identify a research and educational agenda to improve care at the end of life in intensive care units. Approximately 40 nationally recognized clinicians, investigators, and educators in critical care, law and medical ethics, and palliative medicine will participate.
