Preparation and publication of a book on tobacco policies

This grant supports the writing and publication of a book to assess: (1) how much is known about the efficacy of the principal regulatory strategies for controlling tobacco use; and (2) how much can be accomplished (and at what economic and social cost) in the near future. The work will be in the nature of a critical review and forward-looking assessment of policy efficacy, grounded in research findings.
