Background papers on the use of nicotine and other smoking cessation medications in pregnant and adolescent smokers

This grant supports a literature review and critical analysis of the potential risks and benefits of using FDA-approved pharmacological quitting aids for pregnant and breast-feeding women, and for adolescent smokers. The investigators will prepare background papers focusing on each of these two populations for use in conferences that the RWJF is planning to co-sponsor on new treatment approaches for nicotine-addicted pregnant women and youth.
