The Foundation's Scholars in Health Policy Research Program was designed to provide postdoctoral training targeted to the most promising graduates of programs in the three disciplines of economics, political science, and sociology to advance their involvement in health policy research.Under this grant, Boston University will continue to provide technical assistance and direction to the Scholars in Health Policy Research Program. During the period of the grant, the National Program Office will perform the following tasks: (1) refine and manage an application review process for Scholars; (2) plan and conduct the Program's fourth annual meeting; (3) monitor and assist the development of the three Program training sites; (4) assist the Foundation in reconfiguring the National Advisory Committee, to enhance the disciplinary focus of its members and to broaden its racial and geographic diversity; (5) refine and update the management information system; (6) maintain and expand the Working Paper Series; (7) revise and update the Program Directory to meet internal information needs; and (8) revise and update the Program Profile to assist external marketing goals.
