Self-Determination for Persons with Developmental Disabilities

The Foundation's program, Self-Determination for Persons with Developmental Disabilities, was designed to help states implement a more cost effective system while simultaneously allowing families and persons with disabilities more choice in determining the services they receive.This is one of the 18 sites under the Self-Determination for Persons with Developmental Disabilities national program to assist states and communities to transition to systems of support that recognize the abilities of persons rather than their disabilities. This project will help to institute changes in state policy and enact reforms in at least two localities in each state.
