The information will provide the baseline knowledge to identify changes necessary in the educational infrastructure to ensure that the appropriate scope of practice and leadership is developed in the nursing profession for this geographic region. Negotiated, regional educational articulation agreements positioned with career mobility patterns in the nursing work place are explicit outcome objectives for the project. Another anticipated accomplishment is the development of a permanent mechanism for continued work force projections and integration of those projections with the nursing education curricula.
