Colleagues in Caring: Regional Collaboratives for Nursing Work Force Development
The Foundation's program, Colleagues in Caring: Collaboratives for Nursing Work Force Development, was designed to support nursing service institutions to initiate concerted work force development systems within their regions.Mississippi Colleagues in Caring (Mississippi Nursing Workforce 2000) is a project to build upon the strength of the multi-organizational coalition Nursing Organization Liaison Committee (NOLC) in Mississippi to move the nursing profession proactively toward a strong future. The consortium's main goals are: (1) establishment of a state-wide annual nursing manpower survey; and (2) establishment of a state-wide plan to assist health care providers in meeting the challenges of workplace changes through enhancement of nursing education and practice skills.
