The Foundation's Investigator Awards in Health Policy Research Program was designed to produce major works from senior and new investigators that would add to the health policy field's knowledge base.This project builds on a program of research on the diffusion of inner-city health problems from central cities into their suburbs and between metropolitan regions. This project focuses on the geographic and spatial distribution of social pathology and the dynamics by which health problems in inner cities are related to those in suburbs and among metropolitan regions around the nation.
