Development of policy options to ensure health insurance coverage for all children
The objective of this project is to develop policy options to ensure health insurance coverage for all children. The project team will: (1) explore alternative approaches for reforming the current insurance system in order to ensure adequate health coverage for all children; and (2) consider replacements for the existing employer-based and Medicaid systems. This is one of four projects solicited to develop policy options to ensure health insurance coverage for all children. All four groups will present to Foundation staff their reports and discuss any possible convergence of ideas that may have emerged from the reports and the outcome of the discussion. Copies of the reports will be made available to policy makers, professional associations, and other interested parties.
