Technical assistance and direction for RWJF's State Coverage Initiatives program

The Foundation's program, State Coverage Initiatives, was designed to help states develop and implement policies that expand access to health insurance coverage. The purpose of this project is to establish a Technical Assistance Center for the purpose of helping states to implement health care reform. The technical assistance component of the State Coverage Initiatives program will be strengthened and expanded to reach all of the states and to engage federal policymakers on implementation issues. Specifically, in this first phase, the grantee will: (1) continue to assist the Foundation's 12 grantees under the State Coverage Initiatives program to develop and implement their reforms; (2) extend technical assistance to states not receiving grant funds; and (3) facilitate better understanding at the federal level of the lessons being learned from state efforts.
