Home care program for HIV-infected children in high-risk NYC neighborhoods

This grant provides support toward the support of staffing a van to provide transportation and security escort for St. Mary's Home Care Program staff to serve approximately 30 HIV-infected families in unsafe areas of Queens and Brooklyn in New York City. The program is expected to deliver cost-effective services to 30 HIV-infected families who would otherwise receive extremely limited, fragmented services. Recruitment of health care providers willing to provide services in unsafe areas will be improved by ensuring their health and safety.
