The Foundation's Tobacco Policy Research and Evaluation Program was designed to provide support for research and evaluation projects that will produce policy relevant information about ways to reduce tobacco use in the U.S., especially among children and youth.This grant provides technical assistance and direction to the Tobacco Policy Research and Evaluation Program. During the period of the grant, the Program Director will conduct the following activities: (1) plan, organize, and direct the activities of the National Program Office; (2) select, direct, and coordinate the work of the advisory committee; (3) review proposals with the assistance of the committee and Foundation staff; and (4) coordinate efforts to promote interchange of ideas and information among grantees and policymakers.
