The Foundation's Health Policy Fellowships Program was designed to allow midcareer health professionals and behavioral and social scientists to experience a one-year residency in Washington, D.C., working for a member of Congress on health policy.This grant is for stipend and benefit support of Arnold M. Epstein, M.D., M.A., who has been selected for a one-year Health Policy Fellowship in Washington, D.C., to better understand major policy issues and how they are addressed in our political system. The Program, conducted by the Institute of Medicine, provides Fellows with a three-month orientation, followed by a nine-month work assignment in the office of a member of Congress or of the Executive Branch.
