This grant supports the Intergovernmental Health Policy Project (IHPP) in its efforts to: (1) gather and summarize information on state health policy, programmatic issues, and legislation relevant to access to care, chronic health conditions, substance abuse, health care costs, and health statistics; and (2) disseminate that information to national and state policymakers through IHPP newsletters and reports. In addition, IHPP will submit to the Foundation semi-annual reports and conduct staff briefings summarizing major proposed and adopted changes in state health policy. It is expected that the project will contribute to the national and state health policy debate by making available timely, objective information. Such information will also inform the program development and grant making activities of Foundation staff in all four of its goal areas.
