Technical assistance and direction for RWJF's Generalist Physician Initiative
The Foundation's Generalist Physician Initiative was designed to challenge schools of medicine--in collaboration with state governments, private insurers, HMOs, hospitals, and community health centers--to increase the supply of generalist physicians.Under this award, the National Program Office for the Generalist Physician Initiative will conduct a bidders conference, application review, site visits to selected applicants and an advisory committee meeting to recommend sites for planning grants under this initiative. They will coordinate these activities and provide technical assistance where required.
