The Foundation's Program to Strengthen Primary Care Health Centers is aimed at improving the small health center's overall management and stability.This grant will enable the clinics to: (1) increase collections from Medicare and Medicaid by implementing the Rural Health Clinic cost-based reimbursement system; (2) increase revenue by increasing number of patients enrolled in third-party reimbursement programs; (3) increase health center utilization by stabilizing provider availability; and (4) increase the number of visits per user, especially for preventive services. Patient encounters for the three years are projected to increase from 5,352 to 8,100 and patient fee revenue is projected to rise from $389,436 to $542,525 for the same period.
