Dementia Care and Respite Services Program

The Foundation's Dementia Care and Respite Services Program was designed to expand the availability of dementia-specific day programs, other community and in-home respite services, and related health and supportive services.This Phase II grant will enable the project to determine whether it can expand provision of day programs and other respite and health-related services needed by people with dementia and their caregivers in a financially viable manner. To accomplish this, the grantee will: (1) increase number of daily participants from 9 to 22 by year 4; (2) increase private pay revenues from 24 to 58 percent of total operating expenses, with projected private pay revenue totaling $206,679 by end of the grant period; and (3) decrease reliance on non-operating revenue from 74 to 19 percent of total operating expenses.
