The Foundation's Dementia Care and Respite Services Program was designed to expand the availability of dementia-specific day programs, other community and in-home respite services, and related health and supportive services.This Phase II grant will enable the project to determine whether it can expand provision of day programs and other respite and health-related services needed by people with dementia and their caregivers in a financially viable manner. To accomplish this, the grantee will: (1) expand census at the Syracuse site to 30/day and Auburn Site to 18/day by the end of year 4; (2) develop a third site with projected census of 18/day by year 4; (3) develop a revenue generating, center-operated van transportation program; and (4) increase private pay revenues from 46 to 69 percent of total operating expenses, with projected private pay revenue totaling $408,860 at all three sites by the end of grant period.
