Technical assistance and direction for RWJF's Research and Demonstrations to Improve Long-Term and Ambulatory Care Quality program

The Foundation's program, Research and Demonstrations to Improve Long-Term and Ambulatory Care Quality, was designed to stimulate research, demonstration, and evaluation projects to develop, implement, and assess new methods for measuring and improving the quality of patient care in long-term and ambulatory care settings.This grant supports the provision of technical assistance to this Foundation's program. Jack McCue, M.D. will serve as a technical consultant and assist Foundation staff by performing the following functions: (1) suggest areas of research, demonstration and evaluation to support in each area, (2) promote the program to appropriate external groups, (3) review proposals and oversee the technical review process, (4) provide technical assistance to applicants and grantees as needed, and (5) identify the need for technical assistance and the opportunities and means for linking related projects. Dr. McCue will call upon Andrew Kramer, M.D., and other experts in long-term and ambulatory care quality to assist in the review of proposals.
