Under this grant, the Intergovernmental Health Policy Project (IHPP) at George Washington University will produce several reports designed to inform state policymakers on a wide range of substance abuse related issues.The main documents are: (1) a summary of all legislative and major administrative actions taken by each to reduce the demand and supply of illegal drugs and alcohol in 1990 and 1991; (2) a 50-state Medicaid program substance abuse coverage analysis; (3) a three-state pilot effort designed to identify barriers that delay the flow of federal and state substance abuse grant dollars to community providers. Foundation funds provide partial support for this effort.
