Technical assistance to the Medical Malpractice Program
The Foundation's Medical Malpractice Program was designed to call attention to the gravity of the current problems related to medical malpractice and to support efforts to alleviate these problems.This grant supports continued technical assistance to the Foundation's Medical Malpractice Program. Activities under the project will include provision of technical assistance to projects under the Program and other Foundation-supported medical malpractice-related projects; convening an annual meeting of grantees; review of new proposals in the area of malpractice; site visits, if necessary; compilation and dissemination of information on funded projects; tracking developments in the field of medical malpractice; and conducting discussions with malpractice insurance carriers and others regarding the availability of data for research on malpractice. Products of the grant will include summaries of funded projects and a monograph on medical malpractice.
