The Foundation's Clinical Nurse Scholars Program supports two-year, post-doctoral fellowships to prepare a cadre of nurse faculty for leadership in the care of hospital patients with serious illness and injuries.This grant supports stipends and benefits for three first-year Scholars (1989-91) and three second-year Scholars (1988-90) for participation in the Clinical Nurse Scholars Program at the University of Rochester. Nine Scholars are appointed annually for participation in the Program at three training sites: UCSF, University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Rochester. The 1989-91 class is the final class to be appointed. When their fellowship program is completed in 1991, 62 Scholars will have participated in the Program.
