The Foundation's School-Based Adolescent Health Care Program was designed to strengthen the capacity of communities and families to meet the multiple health and health-related needs of adolescents by utilizing local public secondary schools as a principal locus of care.This is a 2nd-phase grant awarded under the 19-site national program, to establish two comprehensive health clinics at Snyder High School (approximately 1,600 enrollment) and Dickinson High School (approximately 2,900 enrollment). The clinics are staffed by a full-time director/social worker, nurse practitioner and dental hygienist; part-time substance abuse counselor, family planning counselor, pediatrician, ob/gyn, psychologist, and nutritionist. Medical backup will be provided by the Jersey City Family Health Center.
