The Foundation's Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program was designed to provide four-year postdoctoral research awards offered to historically disadvantaged physicians who are committed to developing careers in academic medicine, to improving the health of underserved populations, and to furthering the understanding and elimination of health disparities.This award supports technical assistance for the Medical Faculty Development Program. Harold Amos, PhD, Maude and Lillian Presley Professor of Microbiology/Molecular Genetics, Harvard Medical School, will direct this effort. In addition to oversight for all fellows, he will also plan long-term tracking of fellows and a continuing evaluation of selected fellows.
