The Foundation's Clinical Nurse Scholars Program supports two-year, post-doctoral fellowships to prepare a cadre of nurse faculty for leadership in the care of hospital patients with serious illness and injuries.This grant supports stipends and benefits for three first-year Scholars (1988-90) and three second-year Scholars (1987-89) for participation in the Clinical Nurse Scholars Program at the University of California, San Francisco. Nine Scholars are appointed annually for participation in the Program at three training sites: UCSF, University of Pennsylvania. and University of Rochester. Six classes have been appointed and the last class will be appointed in 1989, bringing the total for the Program to 63 at completion in 1991.
